However, for friends and family, visiting a loved one in hospital can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you are unsure about where to park, when you can visit, or what is expected of you on the ward.

Visiting Hours at Adeney Private Hospital
Our visiting hours are daily between 4pm and 8pm.
However, if you have a special circumstance that requires an inpatient visit outside of these hours, you can call our patient support team on (03) 7049 5000 to make arrangements.
Parking at Adeney Private Hospital
Adeney Private Hospital in Kew, Melbourne offers two convenient underground car parking for patients and visitors:
Locations & Access
● Entry via Adeney Avenue (next to the main hospital entrance).
● Exit via Cotham Road.
● Car park hours: 5:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
● You can exit the car park at any time, but no entry is permitted after 6:00 pm.
Please note: there is no parking permitted at the Drop-off / Pick-up turning circle outside the main hospital entrance. Vehicles may wait here for a maximum of 5 minutes for patient drop-off or pick-up only.

Adeney Private Hospital operates a ticketless car parking system. Payment is made at the exit gate using credit or debit card only. If you are staying overnight, you may securely park your vehicle in the underground car park and standard parking rates will apply.
On Street Parking Options
If you prefer to park on the street, there is:
● Unrestricted parking on Cothram Road Mon-Fri between 9.30am and 4pm
● Unrestricted parking on Parkhill Road
● 2 hour parking on Adeney Ave, Marshall Ave and Florence Ave Always check local street signs for the latest restrictions and time limits.

Public Transport Options at Adeney
We’re located just 9kms from Melbourne’s CBD. Public transport options are available nearby, making it easy for patients and visitors to travel to Adeney Private Hospital without a Car.
Trains
The closest train station to Adeney Private Hospital is Glenferie station which services the Lilydale, Belgrave, and Alamein lines.
From there it’s a short 7 minute drive to the hospital or about a 30-minute walk down Glenferie road to Cothram road.
Trams
The route 109 tram, which runs regularly between Port Melbourne and Box Hill, provides a direct and easy way to get to Adeney Private Hospital in Kew.
If you are coming from the city, hop off at Stop 38 on Cotham Road, near Marshall Avenue. It is then just a short 170 metre walk to the hospital.
If you are travelling towards the city, get off at Stop 39 on Cotham Road, near Florence Avenue. From there, you are only about 100 metres from Adeney Private Hospital.

Flowers, Facilities & FAQs
Q: Can I bring flowers?
Flowers are a wonderful way to brighten a loved one’s day and add a personal reminder of support to a patient’s room. However, please note lilies and potted plants are not permitted at Adeney Private Hospital as exposed pollen and soil bacteria can pose a risk to patient Safety.
Q: Can I bring outside food?
Unfortunately, food that is prepared outside of the hospital is not permitted. This is to ensure meals are prepared to required guidelines and there’s no unnecessary risks to patient safety and wellbeing.
Q: Is there Wi-Fi available?
Yes, there’s free Wi-FI available throughout the hospital for both patients and visitors. Please see reception when you arrive for details.
Q: Where can I get something to eat or drink?
Visitors at Adeney Private Hospital can enjoy free hot and cold beverages with snacks in the dedicated lounge for family members and support persons. There’s also a vending machine available on Level B2.
If you want to grab a bite before or after your visit, there’s Rong Sichuan restaurant and Centonove restaurant on Cotham road near the corner of Glenferie road.
