In 2025, Adeney Private Hospital opened its purpose-built facility at 209 Cotham Road, Kew and remains the only private hospital in Australia to offer zero out-of-pocket costs across all hospital services and specialties for privately insured patients (with participating health funds). This model provides an important referral option for patients who may otherwise delay or avoid private care due to concerns about unexpected and gap costs.
Adeney Private Hospital works in close partnership with General Practitioners, primary health and community providers to support timely, high-quality care by providing comprehensive discharge summaries and offering a continuum of care coordinator who will liaise with GPs as necessary. This collaborative approach prioritises continuity of care and clear communication, ensuring referrers remain informed and actively involved throughout each patient’s healthcare journey.
The hospital features four operating theatres, one endoscopy suite, a 30-bed “right-stay” surgical ward, and a medical and oncology infusion centre with an onsite consulting room. Patients also benefit from onsite radiology and hospital pharmacy services, supporting streamlined, coordinated care.
All specialists accredited at Adeney Private Hospital are established, highly regarded clinicians, predominantly based in Melbourne’s eastern regions.
