Car Parking & Public Transport
Adeney Private Hospital offers 2 levels of underground parking with entry to the carpark via Adeney Avenue and exit via Cotham Road.
There is also 2-hour parking in the street and all-day parking available in nearby streets and on Adeney Avenue.
- Adeney Private Car park operates on a Ticketless carparking system, payment for your parking is only possible at the Exit gate by (via credit or debit cards only).
- All patients and visitors are encouraged to park on level B2.
- Car Park hours: 5.30 am – 6.00 pm, Monday – Friday.
- You can exit the carpark at anytime but cannot enter the carpark after 6pm.
- After Hours: there is no public parking available.
- Car park entry is of Adeney Avenue next to the main Hospital Entrance.
- Please note that there is no parking permitted at the Drop-off / Pick-up turning circle outside the main hospital entrance. Cars can wait at the Drop-off / Pick-up point for a maximum of 5 minutes.

Adeney Private Hospital is located in the inner-eastern Melbourne suburb of Kew and is approximately 9kms from the Melbourne CBD.

The quickest and most direct way to reach Adeney Private Hospital is via the #109 tram, which runs continuously between Port Melbourne and Box Hill.
If you are travelling from the city, this tram stops at the #38 tram stop, opposite the corner of Cotham Road and Marshall Avenue. This stop is located only 170 metres from Adeney Private Hospital.
If you are travelling toward the city, this tram stops at the #39 tram stop, near the corner of Cotham Road and Florence Avenue. This stop is located only 100 metres from Adeney Private Hospital.

At Adeney Private Hospital, we understand that the presence of family and friends plays an important role
in a patient’s healing and recovery. We warmly welcome visitors and kindly ask that all guests respect our
designated visiting hours to ensure a restful environment for all patients.
Flowers
For patient safety, lilies and potted plants are not permitted at Adeney Private Hospital. Lilies are restricted due to their exposed pollen, and potted plants are prohibited because any potting mix may carry harmful bacteria.
Food from outside Adeney Private Hospital
Your safety is our priority. Adeney Private Hospital prepares all the food onsite ensuring the required food guidelines are met. Adeney Private Hospital does not allow food that is prepared outside of the hospital to be brought in for any patients. Thank you for your understanding.
We kindly request that visitors who are feeling unwell- or have members of their household
who are unwell-do not attend the hospital to visit a patient.
Facilities for Visitors
To make your visit as comfortable as possible, we offer the following amenities:
- Foyer Seating Area – Located on the Ground Floor. Self-serve beverages are provided for you and please ask our staff if you require assistance or further amenities.
- Free Wi-Fi – Available throughout the hospital. Please see reception for your access details.
- Vending Machine- Located in the carpark, Level B2.
